Father's Day weekend, we took a trip to Wyoming and spent some time in Jackson, and Yellowstone. We took a scenic raft ride, rode a horse, had a chuck wagon dinner, saw the Old Faithful geyser erupt, met a buffalo walking down the road, spied a moose, and donned our winter coats during all these activities because it was--COLD!!! We had a wonderful time and look forward to going back someday! Here are some of our favorite pictures from our trip. :)
Vacations are always better with cousins!!!
From what I understand--each toddler had a meltdown at some point on the scenic rafting trip. Maybe that's because they didn't get to bed until 11pm the night before??? :)
Sydney and I before our horse ride. Ten minutes into our hour-long ride, Sydney informed me she was done. I spent the next 50 minutes or so convincing her we were having a good time. I don't think we'll take another horseback ride for a while. ;)
We went to the Bar-T-5 Chuck Wagon dinner and got to ride in a covered wagon, got "attacked" by indians, listened to some amazing fiddling, and stuffed ourselves silly. It was a fun night!
Sydney got up close and personal with one of the "indians" on the ride down. I'm glad they were able to make their peace, because before this picture was taken, Sydney had been terrified.
Two peas in a pod!
We waited around the park for almost 3 hours for Old Faithful to erupt. This picture was taken right after the eruption and literally 1 minute later this is what our children looked like....
As we were driving halfway across the park we met this guy strolling down the highway. Had we been any closer we could've been the roadkill.....

The girls in front of the Elk Antler Arch in downtown Jackson.
A perfect ending to a perfect vacation. :)
